It's official! Funky Finds Vintage & Retro is five years old. Here are some of our favorite highlights since we started our shop:
Before we opened, our space at the Argonne needed a lot of work. Not only did we paint everything more than once, install new flooring, and build our own custom fixtures, but we also created a more open space by knocking down some walls. What was once a closet is now our front counter. (Pictured above, Suzie's dad Bill Banks during demolition.)
This is what our custom-built modular shelf looked like the day we opened up shop! If you've been in lately, you'll notice we've abandoned the minimalistic style these shelves convey 😅

In 2013, the Ellen DeGeneres and HGTV's Property Brothers crews outfitted our friends Cass & Sam's house with lots of Funky Finds!
In 2014, someone brought in a kitten they found under the bridge. We fed him pizza and took him home for the night. Through the power of social media, we found the little guy a home the very next day! His name is Jack Frost and he's now a spoiled house cat with a loving family.

In 2017, we're beginning our expansion project!
